Counselling and Supervision

Home

WELCOME

People come to counselling for all kinds of reasons, it maybe that they are facing a crisis situation, feeling overwhelmed with emotions, or that they are curious about some aspect of their life or personality.  Whatever the reason I can offer a safe and confidential space in which we can explore the issue together.  I understand that it can be scary to share your thoughts and feelings with someone else; my work is supportive and non-judgemental, conducted at a pace and depth at which the client is happy and in control.

I believe that good supervision is crucial in providing support and helpful challenge to practitioners in both clinical and pastoral settings.  I offer a confidential supervisory relationship, giving opportunity for growth and development, and assisting in maintaining professional and ethical practice.

Welcome

ABOUT ME

My work experience has included supporting people of all ages and in a variety of communities, in settings such as hospitals, addiction projects, community centres, and churches.

I hold a BA (Hons) Counselling and I am an accredited member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and the Association of Christians in Counselling (ACC).

As an integrative counsellor I draw on a variety of counselling modalities and theories such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Psychodynamic, Person Centred, Internal Family Systems (IFS) and Transactional Analysis (TA).

I offer work with creative tools and materials, and for clients who find it beneficial I am happy to explore spirituality and faith.

I also work as a clinical and pastoral supervisor, having a diploma in clinical supervision and a certificate in pastoral supervision, and accreditation with The Association for Pastoral Supervision and Education (APSE).

My integrative approach to supervision includes Proctor's three core functions, Hawkin's and Shohet's Seven Eyed Model, and Page and Wosket's Cyclical model.

WHAT HAPPENS NEXT?

If you believe we might be a good match to work together, either as your therapist or supervisor, please feel free to make contact via a phone call or by completing the form at the bottom of this page.  This won’t commit you to anything but will allow us to have a free 30 minute initial meeting, where you can share a little of your story and ask questions, it will also give me opportunity to explain some details of how I work.  At the end of the session we can decide if working together will be beneficial to you.

We can plan to work together for just a few sessions or commit to a longer timeframe which would include regular reviews to evaluate the work we are doing together.

Counselling sessions last for 50 minutes and cost £55. Supervision sessions are £55 for an hour, or £80 for 1.5 hours.

A small number of concessionary spaces are available, please ask.

I offer face to face sessions in Didcot, Oxfordshire and online sessions via

Google Meet.
